A spicy flavor from the Amazon

Renowned chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino created his own version of tucupí, a sauce from the Peruvian jungle, and entrusted us with the packaging design.

Tucupí is a sauce from the Amazon prepared by women from the Bora and Huitoto ethnic groups in the Loreto region. It is made from yuca brava, which undergoes a long cooking process to remove any potential toxins from the tuber. Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, an acclaimed chef with a clear preference for Peruvian jungle cuisine, approached us to design the packaging for his own tucupí recipe. The goal was to introduce the delicacies of Amazonian cuisine to a wider and more sophisticated audience, avoiding the clichés of exoticism or folklore.
