The 2023 Costa Rica Design Week had Peru as its invited country. We were responsible for both its organization and branding.
A picture is worth a thousand words. In the case of ancient Peruvian cultures, design was worth thousands more. Without a writing system, walls, cloths, and vessels were more than just objects or utensils: they were also messages and stories. That legacy is what we represented in ‘Peru: New Iconographies’, the central exhibition of Costa Rica Design Week.
For the first time abroad, the exhibit brings together the work of over 50 Peruvian designers who work in areas such as graphic design, architecture, or fashion. In addition to being responsible for its organization, curation, and museography, we developed the visual system that was used to communicate the event in different spaces.
